🏔️ MT. KILIMANJARO DAY HIKE × MOSHI–ARUSHA ROAD TRIP 11th–13th October 2026 | 3 Days • 2 Nights Ever dreamt of waking up on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro, watching the sun rise above the clouds? How about pairing that with a refreshing dip in the turquoise waters of Kikuletwa Springs, a taste of Moshi nightlife, and a cultural stop in Arusha? Then trade Nairobi traffic, routines and concrete for mountain trails, border crossings, hot springs, nightlife and open-road adventure. This isn't just a trip to Tanzania. It's three days of Hike • Explore • Unwind! 🥾 DAY 1 — NAIROBI → KILIMANJARO → MANDARA HUT Sunday, 11th October The adventure begins before sunrise! At 5:00 AM, we board our Overland Truck in Nairobi and hit the road for Tanzania, crossing through the Tarakea border. From there, it's straight to Marangu Gate, where boots hit the trail and our Kilimanjaro adventure begins. We climb through the beautiful mountain forest towards Mandara Hut, our home for the night. As evening settles over Africa's highest mountain, slow down, breathe in that crisp mountain air and watch the day fade from the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Tonight, we sleep on the mountain. 🌄⛺ 💦 DAY 2 — KILIMANJARO → KIKULETWA SPRINGS → MOSHI Monday, 12th October Wake up on Kilimanjaro! Catch the sunrise views, enjoy breakfast in the mountains, then begin our descent back to Marangu. But the adventure isn't finished. Next stop: Kikuletwa Springs — aka Chemka Springs. 🌴💦 Crystal-clear turquoise water, lush trees and a refreshing swim await. After the hike, this is exactly what tired legs ordered! Later, we roll back into Moshi, check into our hotel and spend the afternoon relaxing. And when darkness falls... Moshi changes gears. 🎶🔥 Freshen up, dress up and head out to sample the town's nightlife. Music, dancing, laughter and good company — because adventure doesn't always wear hiking boots! 🌍 DAY 3 — MOSHI → ARUSHA → NAIROBI Tuesday, 13th October One last Tanzanian experience before heading home. We drive to Arusha for a brief visit to the Cultural Heritage Centre, soaking up a little art, history and culture before boarding the Overland again. Then it's road-trip mode through the Namanga border and back to Nairobi — carrying photos, stories, new friendships and memories from one packed Tanzanian weekend. Kilimanjaro. Kikuletwa. Moshi.
